Simon ClarkeModeratorFrom Dene…
Hi Simon,
Please post this for me.
At the AGM we voted to pay the entry fee for any members attending Beer & Pretzels.
There is not an official club game.
I have spent the last 6 weeks reminding everyone about this.
Phil’s doorman has a list of all members’ names and I will pay him, a discounted amount, later.Dene

Hi Simon, I think what was said at the Agm reference the Beer and Pretzels entry was that if the club had a table there and was doing a demo game then the club would pick up the bill for those that attended and promoted the club by helping to put on the game, it was not however going to pick up the tab for anybody just going along for their own day out

Simon ClarkeModeratorHi, there is definitely a game on the 28th.
Thanks
Simon
Simon ClarkeModeratorHi Andy, I think I’ve got confused on the dates here. I think Bob is coming down on the 28th (this Thursday) if that helps. Bob can you confirm?
thanks
Simon
Simon ClarkeModeratorHi,
thanks all for taking the time to reply. As I see it we have 3 streams of electronic social communications.
Website. This is a vehicle to bring new members in and demonstrate what the club is about. So one day game , game league etc all show that it is a vibrant club o when someone visits then they might be persuaded to turn up. For this content turnover is vital. Not only do static webpages drop down the search engine rankings, but when people visit and it hadn’t changed for a long time then actually it more likely to have a negative impact on the visitor (so actually worse that no site). I think we are OK cycling the content – could be better. But again relies on a subset of the members. If we looked at a basic monthly update then if we dished that out its only about 1 piece per year!
Forum. This is really internal communication. Club dates ,sales ect. When you post then the posts is redistributed to all subscribing members
WhatsApp. Again another smartphone based message board for internal comms (arranging games ect). This has been one of the success stories as its really easy to use.
I’m not really saying anything should change. But while I’m just looking this is the time to make changes if any are required.
Simon
Simon ClarkeModeratorJust a reminder on this. If you get an email from an forum update
“Hi, when a forum thread update goes out via email if you want to answer it you must reply on the forum. If you just ‘reply’ to the email it just goes to an account that I don’t look at very often! I have found several email replies languishing in that email box.
The thread link you want to reply to is in the email message”
Simon ClarkeModeratorAs does Bob –
“Andy
I would like to play but it depends when it is. Wee away 3rd to 11th Jan.
Bob Amey
“
Simon ClarkeModeratorPete wants to play…

Simon ClarkeModeratorPrivateer press are usually pretty good at replacing items. You can drop them an email … i seem to recall they took pity on Peter and sent him 2 sets of arms for his Cygnar
replacement part portal
Simon ClarkeModeratorI’be just tried it on Numbers (the native OsX Excel), and it indeed strips out all the Excel functions and formatting.
So your options are getting Office for Mac, or this
Simon ClarkeModeratorHi Jon, I use it on my MacBook Pro. Do you mean using Numbers rather than Excel?
Simon ClarkeModeratorTo confirm Ray , it’s £6.50 postage so £29.50.
Pete , you are 2nd dibs
