Battlefield Maps

These images are designed to be printed on fabric with all the roads, rivers and topograhy for the battles. I have found that printing on fleece gives my favourite results. The fleece is flexible and allows shaped items to be put underneath and it hugs them nicely

Large size printing on cloth doesn’t necessarily require big files. In fact if you print these Temu then they do restrict you to 15MB. Normally you want to print at 150DPI, which at 6’x4′ is a much larger file, but the results I have had from Temu have been very good.

How to Print

You might be surprised to hear that large cloth prints don’t necessarily require huge files. If you’re printing through Temu, they cap uploads at 15MB. Normally, printing at 150 DPI at 6’x4′ would produce a much larger file — but honestly, the results I’ve had from Temu have been excellent, so don’t let that put you off.

There are plenty of print shops out there that can handle this, but my personal go-to has been Temu. For both price and quality, they’re hard to beat. Finding the right vendor is simple — just search for “Personalise Fleece Blanket”. You’ll find loads of options, mostly aimed at holiday photos and pet portraits, but they work perfectly for our needs too.

I have no affiliation with any of these sellers or Temu — so as always, buyer beware! Please make sure your payments are secure. That said, I’ve had zero issues, and the prices are low enough that it’s well worth a punt.

File Sizes & Uploading

The 48″x70″ map files have been sized for 53″x78″ (135cm x 200cm) blankets. The map will be centred with a coloured bleed edge around it. When uploading, you may need to make a small resize adjustment on the Temu page.

Any specific requirements for individual mats will be listed below.

About the Maps

The mats are created using a combination of Inkarnate and Photoshop (the latter just for sizing adjustments that Inkarnate can’t handle). Most assets are standard, though a few — such as the fields — are custom-made.
