    Morning folks

Just over 2 weeks to go to Partizan and we have a quick update from the venue on access times.

    Saturday:

We will open up from 2pm with vans allowed on the floor of the hall from 2pm until 4.30pm for unloading. Please as soon as you are unloaded move the vans out before starting to set up. We need all vans clear by 4.30 to allow us enough time to complete the setup of the games tables. We all then need to be out promptly at 6pm. No exceptions. Anything not finished by 6pm will have to wait until Sunday morning.

    Sunday:

We will be open for setup from 7am as usual. Doors open at 10am. Obviously no vans will be allowed inside the venue on Sunday morning.

If you have any questions at all please drop me an email.

    Cheers

    Hi,

its unlikely that I will be able to make this. Pete isn’t too sure either. No-one has come forward. Is there anyone that can take this game forward? or any alternative game or shall I cancel?

    Please let me know

    thanks
    Simon

    Squarebashing At WMMS.

I won’t have much/any time to look at this. So can someone pick this up ? It was designed to be as easy as possible to organise . Basically same as last year, 2 games side by side. If we can get the divider from Bob that will help. I had thought 1 early game and 1 late war (Green mat and brown mat)

We just need someone to come up with the opposing armies, and terrain etc. If we can bring a big cloth to cover the table that was the only thing that needed improvement from last year

Hi, as the most vocal, can I delegate to Jon Phipps and Andy Dumelow to organise the game(s). One single game make be a step too far – but can you guys liase and come up with a plan

    We now have

    Jon
    Pete
    Andy
    Bob
    Ian
    Lynette
(Wayne).. will it help if I bring Saki Wayne?
    Simon

So we are now definitely viable. So others can join in or play a separate game if this doesn’t appeal.

I’ll bring some nibbles, but as its close to the holidays perhaps we can bring some food in a make it more of a jolly. So volunteers to bring something in would be cool

    Pete
    Andy
    Bob
    Ian

so a couple more to be viable

There is no reason at all if you want to attend but not t play the game. Lets let to make it a full turn out.

So with the 10th booked my proposal would be to organise another big FoG:R Samurai battle. This time

    Battle of Dōmyōji
On June 3, 1615 the Eastern Army of Tokugawa Ieyasu and the Osaka Army of Toyotomi Hideyori clashed in battle at Dōmyōji , Osaka. This battle was one of Japan’s major historical battles between samurai forces. This battle was one of a number of battles that took place during the Summer Campaign of the Siege of Osaka that led up to the fall of Osaka to the forces of Tokugawa and the death of Toyotomi Hideyori.

The game would accommodate 6-8 players (which is what we had last time). We would need a few armies. I have 2, Wayne & Lynnette another, Bob I think you have one and Dene. So we should be good for figures.

At the moment this is the plan, and I’m looking for interest. I’m happy for someone to organise something else. But we just need a few decisions now.

    thanks
    Simon
