Simon ClarkeModeratoradded you to the group James
Simon ClarkeModeratorFor this that aren’t on Facebook and are wary you can set up an account and through privacy settings make it completely yourself completely invisible to the rest of the world. You can be invited to the group and just use FB for that in isolation – it doesn’t mean that you have to be part of the wider FB community
Simon ClarkeModeratorpicked up by the BGHS and shared across their site (FB) now
Simon ClarkeModeratorBadcon now has a Facebook event set up for it
Simon ClarkeModeratorPaul has got back to me and we have a 8×6 , close to PP hopefully near the door. So we can run 2 4×3 mats alongside. I’ll get in touch with Martin at PP for some sponsorship – whatever form that is in?!
So, Pete, you’re up. Plan me a game ..
Simon ClarkeModeratori thought that was a joke?
Simon ClarkeModeratoreven if you didn’t want to go the BHGS route, I did look at the online tickets options. Its easy to set up .. so for Eventbrite the service fee is 3.5% +.49p so, that £1.68 on the £34 ticket. To allow credit card payment thats a 2% surcharge .. another 60p. So just over £2 in total which you can just add to the ticket price.
This all just gets paid into your bank account, easy..
Simon ClarkeModeratorI’ve contacted Paul and Dave about a table for WMMS (12th March)
Theme 1916-17 Western Front (SB). So Pete , you need to designed the scenario. I suggest we frame it within 2 normal SB games, so a 8’x3′ layout with 4 ‘armies worth’. If you can write the words I can create all the jazzy handouts.
Simon ClarkeModeratorIt is .. the Nothe fort is s great venue overlooking the sea
Definitely a jolly though
Simon ClarkeModeratorHi, just a note to say I’m pencilling in the next game – Harald (Vikings) vs William (Normans) for the 8th Dec – otherwise it will be next year!
Simon ClarkeModeratorI had a bit of a recce at Battlefield hobbies this weekend (at the BHGS doubles). We’ve got the small room, as we are likely not to break double figures. Its nice and comfortable

They will lay on a buffet (so it will be £10 per head rater than £5), they have a £2 mug hire (bottomless tea and coffee) , so should all be very pleasant. I do need to confirm numbers by mid November so please let me know if you are interested.
As we are looking at lower numbers, we’ll probably drop the theme and just keep it open (and handle the draw appropriately)
Simon ClarkeModeratorHow about 10th Nov for the next battle – Stamford bridge?
I’ll try to make it a bit easier to organise the troops and help with the fight
thanks
Simon
Simon ClarkeModeratorThe set breakdown is
Squarebashing Terrain SetMousepad material – size 12” x 6 “ (30cm x 15cm)
Wood template image from midland nature #2 – for example
QTY 2 of theseTown template image from cobblestone mat – for example
QTY 2 of theseRough template image from swamp mat – for example
QTY 2 of theseMud template image from muddy field mat – for example
QTY 2 of theseHill template image from midland nature 6 mat – for example (if this could be elongated into a 12”x6”)
QTY 2 of theseMousepad material – size 6” x 6 “ (15cm x 15cm)
Hill template image from midland nature 6 mat – for example
QTY 1 of theseSmall town template image from cobblestone mat – for example
QTY 1 of theseMud template image from muddy field mat – for example
QTY 1 of theseSo in total that is 10 12”x 6” and 3 6”x6” pieces
you need 4 each for a game. So you could choose to split a set
Simon ClarkeModeratorI’ve spoken with Kostas at DSC. He has made a pack of 10 6″x12″ pieces scaled for SB.. for example

and a set of 3 objective squares 6″x6″

The prices are for a set of 10 12×6’s= £35
For the objectives set of 3 = £7.50he can also do custom mats for SB – with a grid (for any of their designs) for £49 – which is a bit pricey

Simon ClarkeModeratorOK 6th we’ll do Fulford Bridge. We should make it look nice – so I can photograph and document it, so I can do an accompanying review for release alongside the supplement
