Note that Sun 17th is the WMMS Show, Alumwell – actually now at Wolverhampton. This does not affect me but it may others.See my proposal in response to Andy Dumelow’s initiative now posted as

1) No need to apologise for lack of figures on your part – there are plenty within the club.
2) I’ll look into suitable actions. (BTW I’ll be soon be posting ideas for re-fighting the Battle of Amiens on 9th August, which is the nearest Thu to the date).
3) I would like to be involved with marking 11/11/11 but personally would prefer that we do not do this at a weekend. What about club night on 8th Nov?
4) Whenever we do this we could start or finish by observing a silence at the Stretton memorial. When ever I pass this I am impressed by the statue.Discuss tonight?
RayI caught this excellent two-part TV programme when it was originally broadcast on the BBC. It should be of particular interest to those interested in the Great War at Sea – Jon or Paul.

I, for one, did not think that you had been sleeping on the job but am amazed how well you have progressed!Good idea. I would be up that but agree that we need a big gap. So I’d prefer Sept or later. That would also give me chance to paint some of my late war stuff.
I have a LoA Anglo-Dutch comprising 2 horse, 6 PxS, 2 Danish. Even if I cannot make the date I can lend this.
I have obtained some spare parts & repaired the display board. Draft display material now mailed to Jon.

I can bring one or more of my exhibition display boards. Each is 6ftx6ft comprising six panels in two rows of three. Each panel is approximately 300 x 600mm so should take the A1 sheets that you local graphic designer can do.
As to content I’ll do whatever you need. This can include some photos of the battlefield from a guided tour I went on last year. As I’m pretty busy over the next month I did not anticipate “re-inventing the wheel” but to make use of information already in the public domain e.g. The Battlefield Trust
After helping with the set up I do not anticipate being involved in the playing as I shall be missing for a couple of hours in Newark that day
I have done so today and Paul Fox will be doing so soon. For the moment I have entered as “Allies” and have asked Paul to enter as “Central Powers”. This is just to keep the balance as we are not sure yet which armies we will have ready by then.
