Anyone up for the biggest battle fought in the GNW on Polish-Lithuanian territory? Ideally 7 commands – most of which are over 800 pts in FOG:R – and almost 70 mounted units.
It should be playable as an evening game as we will be straight into the action with little initial manoeuvre. As a one day game it could turn into a Sekigahara, with a bad run of dice crippling the smaller side.
On paper one side is heavily outnumbered and historically it was very one sided, but under FOG I’m certain the smaller side stands a good chance of bettering that result.
Any suggested dates? I’m ready to run but it might suit that dead time between Christmas and New Year (Tuesday or Thursday).

I would like to play but I am not sure about that week yet. We are going to my son’s on Boxing Day.

Bob,
I’m really open to any dates we can get 7 players together. There were 4 of us down last Thursday (3 playing) so it could be a push. Just glad you showed an interest so quickly.
Andy,
I would be up for this & should be around for most of Christmas / New Year. Ray
Looks like Thursday 29th Dec is the favourite date. I’ll make sure everything is set up for a prompt start. We will need a lot of Poles: 4 units winged Hussars, 8 Dragoons, 8 light horse and 16 Pancerni/armoured Cossacks.
And quite a few western cavalry: 8 armoured pistol/pistol, 14 unarmoured pistol/pistol.
There will be at least 7 commands, but room for more if needed.
I’ll try and set up the game for a 7:30ish kick off with the terrain and dispositions all set out. As usual there will be a short briefing on the lead up to the battle and objectives for each side. Can anyone who has suitable wagons bring them along – there is a fortified camp on the battlefield. Have a Great Christmas and hopefully see a few of you on Thursday.
