ModeratorSorry, miscalculated! I will need another 2 Swedish infantry regiments (4M 2P), preferably in blue.

ModeratorFirst – congrats to the Simons on their win at Godendag.
Second – I’ve been asked what units will be needed for the FOGR scenario on 5th Feb so:
Allies: 17 Cuirassier (1 as Polish Pancerni)
1 Croat LC
6 Dutch Foot (4M 2P) Pike are armoured
2 Danish Foot (6M) No pike used here apparently
4 Medium GunsSwedes: 12 Cuirassier
1 Dragoon
4 Foot (4M 2P)
4 Medium GunsI can supply the Swedish foot, guns and 5 cavalry.
The Swedes look heavily outnumbered as usual, but points wise its only about 1620 v 1380.
Cheers,

ModeratorPleased to hear there was plenty of interest in this at the club on Thursday. General consensus was for Thursday Feb 5th.
There were actually 2 brothers in command roles on the Danish side in this battle, so that’s Simon and Dene sorted.Andy

ModeratorThe next map moves in the GOTHOTT campaign will be on Thursday 25th Sept – I hope all factions can make it? We finished part way through a round last time, so we will begin with the Iron Born move this time.

ModeratorMany apologies, thanks to Lynette and Simon for picking up on this. I did mean this Thursday the 14th. It should be easy enough to fit in map moves between your usual games without too much fuss.

ModeratorNext GOT HOTT map moves will be on Thursday 18th due to popular demand! Sorry if one or two factions can’t make it but we need to keep things moving. Rest assured the umpire will act wisely on your behalf if you can’t make it. A welcome to Paul for joining in as a Dorn/Lannister player.
I’ll also throw in a few more events to keep everyone on their toes.Andy

ModeratorGame on 29th July: To get things on the move again I’d like to make this a multiplayer affair. The attack on The Wall featured in series 4 between Night’s Watch and Wildlings was very inspiring, and is probably the best bet. All factions in G of T should have an interest in the Wildlings succeeding or failing short term. The scary thing is that long term they are not the real enemy!
I’ll bring down the army lists for anyone interested to make up a 24pt Wildling/ Night’s Watch contingent for the game. Hopefully we can get three a side at least.

ModeratorThanks for the offer of a game Simon. Euan can make it down to the club on the 29th May, but I understand you are already booked up for that evening. Can anyone else give him a challenging game that evening? He has a Swiss army that has never been beaten at his previous clubs.

ModeratorI’ve just been contacted by an old customer of mine:
Hi Andy,
I have just moved to this area and am getting into FOGR. I heard about the above event from a friend and am keen to arrange a game or games with some of the Burton players. Although a newcomer to the period and rules I am confident I will be more than a match for any of your club players. If anyone fancies taking me on please forward my contact details to them.Yours,

ModeratorI will make it to the club this Thursday (15th) and would like a chat re possible dates for next round of HOTT games for the campaign. Rob’s work commitments mean he will not be able to take much part for the foreseeable future, so I’ll see if Steve can take over Lannister/Dorn.
There are also some new forces to bring in – its time for the Wildlings and Night’s Watch. I’ll assign these to one or other of the current sides, but the politics may need some discussion first. At present I am thinking Tyrrell for Wildlings and Iron Born for Nights Watch, with points awarded for how many Wildlings get past The Wall/ how many the Night’s Watch prevent in a one off battle.
If this sounds OK with Simon/Simon (Tyrrell) and Wayne/Colin (Iron Born) we can then arrange dates for the next series of HOTT battles.

ModeratorRob has just said he can also make it to the club on the 15th April if that’s any better. I’ll ask around at the club evening on the 10th as well.

ModeratorSimon,
A belated thanks for organising the one-dayer – really enjoyed it. The Black Powder rules are fairly light hearted and encourage a ‘fun’ rather than a ‘competitive’ game atmosphere and reminded me of some of the early years club games. -
