Should we be doing something to mark this on or around Oct 14th? Or even a mini campaign including Gate Fulford (20th Sept) and Stamford Bridge (Sept 25th). FOG or MeG must be favourite. I feel a bit sheepish suggesting this as I can’t supply any of the figures!
I have a comprehensive armies for Saxons, Vikings and Normans in 15mm, so I could provide all the figures for a reasonable size game.
I could organise ‘club night’ night sizes games for MeG using the doubles format. So that could accommodate 4 players… which is a typical club night anyway
Would there be interest in that?

Yes – that’s more or less what I had envisaged handed out on a plate! I think we need players who know whatever rule system you decide on pretty well as Hardrada, Harold and William. Hardrada and Harold should also be able to commit to two games (Fulford and Stamford, Stamford and Hastings respectively). Other commands could be taken up as required and wouldn’t necessarily involve just 4 players committing to three games. I’m available from 22nd Sept to take any minor role available. I’m actually looking forward to this – I can’t believe it almost passed us by.
What about October 6th (Thur) for the 1st game?
we have Pete, Bob, yourself and me expressed an interest – so thats enough already
OK 6th we’ll do Fulford Bridge. We should make it look nice – so I can photograph and document it, so I can do an accompanying review for release alongside the supplement
How about 10th Nov for the next battle – Stamford bridge?
I’ll try to make it a bit easier to organise the troops and help with the fight

SimonHi, just a note to say I’m pencilling in the next game – Harald (Vikings) vs William (Normans) for the 8th Dec – otherwise it will be next year!

The 8th is ok for me. It would be one of the great ‘what ifs’ of history if Harald won again as I doubt the Normans would have the strength to make a second attempt at conquest.
