For those of you showing an interest in WW1 naval this Thursday, the rules I propose using are Grand Fleets. A free demo version is available from the publishers:

I’ve bought the full version, but you’ll fine the demo version useful.

In terms of the game, we’ll initially do the Battle of Coronel. This should be relatively quick (and a bit one-sided I’m afraid) but will help us get used to the rules. We” then do the scenario again but this time with an interesting “what if” variation that’ll make it longer and more balanced.
